About

Project 40 is my personal vision for my 40s, 50s and beyond.

Being a goal oriented person, I believe it’s important to have a clear vision of my goals to bring them to life.

I’m a 40-something married, father of 2 beautiful girls whose goal is simply… I want to be better.  Every day and in every way I want to be better than the day before. This drive for continuous self-improvement led me to write this blog.

Project 40 is a vision of the future. A vision of the man I want to be.

In this monthly blog the topics will range from style to cooking, travel to wine, personal finance to family and everything in-between.  I believe a man’s capacity for personal development is without limits; competence in a broad range of abilities and areas of knowledge should be every man’s goal and is within every man’s grasp.

Project 40 is about personal growth and achieving my full potential. As I learn and grow I will share my knowledge here, so that you may learn and grow along with me.

I hope the ideas, images and discussions on this blog will help the readers trigger the thoughts, feelings and actions that will materialize success in their lives. As I hope this blog helps me to focus on success in my life.

    • Thanks for visiting! I love the Erma Bombeck quote on your blog… it describes my goal in life. As they say in football, at the end of the game I want to say that I left it all on the field. No regrets.

      • “When I stand before God at the end of my life, I would hope that I would not have a single bit of talent left, and could say, ‘I used everything you gave me’.” -Erma Bombeck

Love it! Thanks T.R. Russ… this is perfect!

  4. Thanks for passing by and liking my post today. Your attitude to life is inspiring, and the reassuring thing is that you like to take naps…all this onward and upwardsness can get tiring, so it’s good to see you’re keeping the energy levels up 🙂 Interesting thoughts, thanks for sharing!

    • The person who invented the nap is a genius. Despite having a ton of things to do and lots of day-light left to do it. This person decided to stop and go to sleep. Brilliant!

I really enjoyed your post. I’m happy I stumbled upon it. Thanks for stopping by.

In fact, I work with a major consumer brand that is interested in possibly partnering with you on a small project, but I couldn’t find any contact information. How can I reach you?

  8. Excellent to have come across your blog and its purpose. I am turning 40 this year, have started my own blog recently, and currently balancing 23 hours of commuting to work a week with marriage to a wonderful woman, raising two beautiful kids and training for my first Judo competition in March and hopefully my final boxing fight in July (which is when I turn 40). Looking forward to reading more posts. Jim @ http://www.bizoncommute.com 🙂
