Dressing your age – What’s up with Michael Jordan?

Okay Michael, we need to talk...

I love Michael Jordan and I have a hard time saying anything negative about him… so I won’t.

I’ll let the pictures do the talking.

I see what you were trying to do... but this is clearly a miss.

This is good but your clothes are too big.

I understand he’s divorced now and dating a younger woman. It can be tough as an older man entering the dating world again. I understand. That’s why I’m offering a little helpful advice.

There is nothing wrong with dressing more youthful but subtlety is the key. Stay true to yourself and gradually add more youthful pieces into your tried and true collection. Don’t jump right in with both feet. You’ll end up looking like a walking mid-life crisis.

We also have to discuss the issue of choosing clothing that complements your body type.  I see he’s making the same mistake men our age tend to make. He’s choosing clothing cut way too big for his body type. Bigger is not better when it comes to clothing. Ever seen President Obama in his high waist, regular fit Levi’s? Let’s just say, they don’t project a youthful image.

Here’s a tip: Dark wash, slim cut (not skinny) jeans. You can’t go wrong.

But it’s not all bad.

I like how Jordan is dressed in the pictures below. Adding a bit of his own personal style with subtle youthful pieces… he can look as great as he once played.

Conservative. Classy.

This is a good look for the greatest basketball player of all time.

Youthful. Stylish. Perfect.

Howdy! I understand this is somewhat off-topic but I needed to ask.

Does building a well-established blog such as yours require a lot of
work? I am completely new to operating a blog but I do write in my journal daily.
I’d like to start a blog so I can share my experience and
thoughts online. Please let me know if you have any kind of ideas or tips for new
    aspiring bloggers. Appreciate it!

I treat my blog like a journal… That’s really what it is… I hope people enjoy what I write about, but I’m really just writing for me. That’s the approach I take.

      Good luck with your blog.
